Feng Hao expressed his sincere gratitude. "Thank you for granting my wish, Master."
"Heh," the Thief Master chuckled, shaking his head with a touch of melancholy. "Honestly, even if it weren't for your little girlfriend, I would have done this anyway."
Feng Hao paused, his expression shifting to one of sheer astonishment. "Why is that? Isn't the Thief God Hall totally incompatible with the five major sects?"
"I wouldn't say 'incompatible.' At most, we just find each other an eyesore," the Thief Master replied meaningfully. "The relationships between the major sects are far less simple than they appear on the surface. Take the five major sects, for example. They might look like they coexist peacefully, but behind the scenes, they're constantly scheming against one another."
"Conflicts of interest?" Feng Hao asked with a frown.
The Thief Master nodded. "Conflicts of interest are only one aspect. The larger issue is that they belong to different factions."
