As soon as the words were spoken, Feng Hao burst from the dense woods, his gaze instantly locking onto the small golden figure.
"This is a Divine Soul?" Feng Hao asked, stunned.
"That's right." Three-second Fire grinned mischievously. "Quick, help me take it down. If I can eat it, I'll get a massive power-up."
Feng Hao froze, his expression souring. "Are you kidding me? A Divine Soul is too precious. There's no way I'm letting you eat it."
"Fine, I knew you wouldn't bear to part with it," Three-second Fire scoffed. "But you humans need to attune a Divine Soul before you can use it. If its attuned attributes suit you, you keep it. If not, you give it to me. How does that sound?"
"Fair enough." Feng Hao nodded thoughtfully.
Seeing the two of them negotiating its fate, the small golden figure was about to explode with rage. "You damn Little Flame! To think you'd side with a human! If I'd known, I would have extinguished you back then!"
