Just as Zhang Meng's group and the Xue Qingshan father-daughter pair were about to leave, a hearty laugh rang out from nearby. "Haha, why were you looking for me? I'm back, aren't I?"
"Feng Hao?!" Everyone whipped their heads around in surprise.
There stood Feng Hao, shoulder-to-shoulder with Yun Jiansong, a faint smile on his face as he looked their way. Yun Jiansong, of course, remained expressionless.
Once they confirmed Feng Hao was safe and sound, Xiyue Frost and the others let out a collective sigh of relief. Xi Yueyao, however, had a different reaction. She struggled out of Xiyue Frost's arms and flew into Feng Hao's embrace like a homing pigeon.
"You damn medicine peddler, where did you run off to! You scared me to death!" Xi Yueyao's eyes were red, but she stubbornly held back her tears.
It wasn't that she was particularly strong; she just never forgot the promise Feng Hao had made her: "In this life, I, as your husband, will only ever make you cry once."
