The Beastman Officer looked at the anxious Elder Linton, baffled at first.
But soon, the Beastman Officer also felt it—a deep rumbling that shook the earth.
Just then, a long, sharp cry tore through the sky from the distance. Shocked, Elder Linton snapped his head up, his gaze fixed on Wayne Mountain.
"That cry!" Elder Linton exclaimed. There was no mistaking it. During his studies in the Moon Elf Kingdom, he had heard archaeologists mimic that very sound. 'It's like a phoenix...'
'It's really white? What's going on?' Elder Linton wondered, staring at the white speck flying toward him from over the mountain.
He remembered reading about it in the other Warriors' reports: a silvery-white phoenix.
"Elder? Elder? What do we do now?" the Beastman Officer asked Elder Linton anxiously. 'I can't believe his pedantic habits would kick in at a time like this.'
Elder Linton snapped out of it.
"Don't panic... Stick to the plan."
