As he read off a string of data, everyone present grew tense.
'All those supplies, and that's only good for eighth place?'

Before Robert could finish, the other female contestant stood up on her own.
While others might not know the exact numbers, the contestant in question certainly did. Even if a name wasn't called, reading out the data was essentially a notification for that person.
"Su, congratulations on achieving eighth place this season."
Robert extended his hand to shake hers. "Don't be discouraged. The gap between you and the next two was minuscule—you were nearly tied for sixth. You were just shy of the prize money."
The female contestant forced a smile and walked to the side without a word.
"Seventh place. This contestant..."
"That should be me, right?"
Erica raised her hand again.
She had originally thought she'd just scrape by in eighth. She never expected someone to be ranked below her, and she couldn't have been happier.
