Opening his eyes, Chu Bamboo pushed himself up and surveyed the familiar Nuwa Base, taking a few shallow breaths.
"Wait, what's this feeling?" A look of joy suddenly spread across Chu Bamboo's face. He felt that his mental state was nearly the same as when he had first woken up. 'Does this mean the strain from this reset is negligible?'
'Before, I could reset seven times. In this state... I should be able to add at least one more, right? Eight times? Maybe even more?'
Chu Bamboo counted on his fingers and pursed his lips, suppressing the turmoil in his heart as his expression grew calm.
The importance of resetting was undeniable. For him, every additional reset increased his margin for error.
He could wake up in reality and then re-enter the dream to reduce the strain, but that felt like banging his head against a video game all night without being able to beat the level—incredibly frustrating.
