Phantom glanced at the Skeleton King, a pleasant surprise welling up inside him.
The Skeleton King, however, was rather annoyed.
"Boy, that wind of yours isn't half bad."
A shimmering light appeared on the Skeleton King's body. His speed suddenly surged as he lunged forward, slashing at Phantom with extreme velocity.
Phantom chose not to meet the attack head-on. Although the wind swirling around him had deflected the Skeleton King's last strike, it had consumed a great deal of his energy—far more than a normal attack would. 'If I take a few more hits like that,' he thought, 'I might not have the energy to keep this up.'
Thus, he played to his strengths, using his superior speed to rapidly retreat, intending to evade the Skeleton King's blow.
The Skeleton King glowed, his speed increasing once more as he unleashed a three-slash combo at Phantom.
Three streaks of swordlight passed through Phantom's body, which then slowly faded away.
