The surrounding barbarians would immediately follow the vines as they retreated into the jungle and attack any Big-Mouthed Flower they found. If they attacked quickly enough, they could rescue their swallowed comrade. If they were too slow, they would be devoured by a Big-Mouthed Flower that had finished its meal, becoming a fresh delivery themselves.
The aggressive purple spores released by the Gloom Mushrooms would blanket an entire area. Since the restriction of one plant per square meter was gone, the Gloom Mushrooms grew in dense patches.
As a result, when the mushrooms attacked, the purple Spore Mist in the area became incredibly dense, easily killing any barbarians who ventured too far into it.
The colorful Spore Mist created by the Charming Mushrooms, however, was even more lethal to these barbarians. Although the Big Eyes on their backs didn't need to breathe, the barbarians themselves still did.
