They had initially managed to hold on thanks to the Exoskeleton Mobile Warriors. But once more than a thousand enemy heroes swarmed the city walls, the defensive line completely collapsed. The scales of victory tipped decisively in favor of the Northern Expedition Legion.
The high attack, defense, and speed of the Exoskeleton Mobile Warriors made them stand out amongst regular soldiers, but they weren't nearly as impressive when facing heroes of the Transcendent grade.
At the same level, a Transcendent-grade hero had stats equivalent to two Legendary-grade Exoskeleton Mobile Warriors. With the addition of talents, class bonuses, and more skills, a single one could easily take on five.
