"Can you guys come out for a drink with me?"
"I'm in a really bad mood. I feel like I'm getting depressed lately."
...
Sun Lan picked up her phone and fired off a series of messages.
But Gao Yuan wasn't in the mood to check his phone right then. He was completely stunned by the bowl of chicken noodle soup that Lin Wanyu had placed on the table.
The chicken broth was simmered to perfection; he could tell just by the smell.
But the noodles were what really surprised him.
According to Lin Wanyu, Li Mengqing had mixed the dough herself, rolled it into a sheet, and then cut each strand by hand.
Gao Yuan couldn't help but give Li Mengqing a thumbs-up.
He remembered they had hired a chef to do it last time, with the girls just cooking the noodles. He never expected Li Mengqing to take on the task herself this time.
'The hands that wield scissors can also handle a rolling pin and a kitchen knife just as masterfully!'
