"It's the perfect size for one person," Amelia Lockhart replied dryly. She had no idea what Ethan Quinn was trying to do.
"One person? Don't you have a sister?"
Amelia Lockhart wasn't surprised that Ethan Quinn knew she had a sister. Silas Linden must have told him. "My sister got married a long time ago. Of course she wouldn't live with me."
'Married?' Ethan Quinn subtly scanned the apartment's furnishings again. It really did look like only one person lived here.
The coffee was nearly gone, and Ethan Quinn couldn't find any more excuses to stay.
He glanced coolly at Amelia Lockhart, feeling an inexplicable tightness in his chest.
