When his shirt came off, Amelia Lockhart gasped.
Scrapes and bruises of all sizes crisscrossed his skin. Some of the wounds were even flecked with dirt, making for a wretched sight.
Watching Ethan Quinn sit there, perfectly still, Amelia Lockhart couldn't help but think, 'What would it have been like if I'd landed face-first?'
The doctor glanced at the wounds and thought these people were making a mountain out of a molehill. While the injuries looked alarming, they were just superficial abrasions and nothing serious.
So he looked at Amelia Lockhart, and seeing the young woman's worried expression, he said, "It's nothing serious. You should go back to the show. I can take it from here."
Amelia Lockhart breathed a sigh of relief at his words, but she couldn't help asking, "Are you sure there's nothing wrong?"
The doctor chuckled. "Young lady, don't you trust me?"
