"I'm type AB. I'll donate blood!"
"You should go get checked by the nurse first..."
"No need. I'm her uncle. My blood can save her!"
Byron Shaw gave Nathan Rhodes a reassuring look, then followed the doctor into the operating room.
Nathan Rhodes stood frozen in place. 'Georgia Thorne actually had a miscarriage.'
'It's all because of me!'
'If I hadn't taken Georgia to the exhibition, she wouldn't have climbed that ladder, and she definitely wouldn't have had a miscarriage. It's all my fault.'
A short while later, Byron Shaw emerged from the operating room, his face pale.
Nathan Rhodes's eyes were red from crying. "I'm sorry, it's all my fault. I really didn't know Georgia was pregnant!"
"I told you it's okay. I'm here for everything!" Byron Shaw glanced back at the operating room. 'She probably doesn't even know it herself yet.'
When Georgia Thorne was moved from the operating room to a regular ward, she was still unconscious, her face frighteningly pale.
