She didn't have much of an appetite for dinner. After forcing down a few bites, she put down her chopsticks.
"I'm full. I'm heading upstairs."
Sharon Ennis had just brought out a bowl of soup. "You're full already? You haven't had your soup. Have a little before you go up!"
"No, thanks," Georgia Thorne said, shaking her head. "Mom, I'll go with you to see him tomorrow afternoon."
"Okay."
The trial was the day after tomorrow. No one could predict what would happen after that.
'What if the charges are actually proven true?'
'No, I refuse to believe it!'
She shook her head forcefully and went into the bathroom to take a shower.
After her shower, Hillary knocked on the door. "Georgia, can I come in?"
"Come in."
Hillary opened the door and brought in a plate of fruit. "I just cut this. Have some."
As far as she could remember, the two of them had rarely spoken alone like this.
