Hudson Company – CEO's Office
The office was larger than Jett Westgate had imagined. A massive glass window took up most of one wall, and the sunlight streaming in made the entire space feel bright and airy.
He walked over and sat down casually in the office chair. It wobbled slightly. The height wasn't to his liking, and it wasn't particularly comfortable, but he didn't adjust it. He simply leaned back, his gaze lazily sweeping across the desk.
There were quite a few things on the desk, but it was all very neat.
Next to the computer was a ceramic mug with a picture of a golden retriever on it.
A picture frame sat on the corner of the desk, facing the chair. He reached out and picked it up. It was a photo of a family of three.
Annelise Valentine, Pippa, and Zane Patterson were squeezed together with a sparkling blue sea behind them. Each of them wore the kind of smile that only comes from being loved.
