A crisp sound broke the dead silence.

A bone blade slipped from between a Warrior's tentacles, fell into the shallow water, and kicked up a ring of mud.

Several nearby Warriors trembled and instinctively looked toward the human army surrounding them.

The steel shield wall had already closed in.

Through the gaps in the shields, countless sharp spears gleamed with a cold light under the moon, aimed directly at their throats.
