Jace's words stunned Phoebe for a moment. 'He doesn't know anything about my brother?'
Jace looked at the expression on Phoebe's face. Even though she said nothing, he could tell what she was thinking. And because he could tell, his expression grew even darker.
But Phoebe didn't notice. She was still lost in Jace's words.
'The only reason I'm clinging to Jace and not letting go, the only reason I agreed to have his baby, is because he's the only person I know who has news about my brother, right? If he doesn't know, then why am I still shamelessly pestering him?'

Jace glanced at the still-dazed Phoebe, scoffed, then stood up and walked out.
Phoebe only snapped out of it after Jace had left.

Phoebe thought for a moment, then glanced at the watch on her wrist.
