A girl stood at the door, holding coffee and wearing a coffee shop uniform.
"Who's that? She doesn't work here, does she?"
"Looks like the coffee delivery girl?"
"The coffee delivery girl?" The woman who had just been mocking Phoebe Faulkner sneered, her arms crossed over her chest. "How interesting. A delivery girl, trying to meddle in our business? Who gave her the nerve?"
Amid the murmuring, Phoebe Faulkner walked toward the person at the door.
"Millie."
The girl before her was none other than Millie Sanders, who had once worked with Phoebe Faulkner at the coffee shop.
"Phoebe, so this is where you're working now? I was wondering why you suddenly quit," Millie Sanders said with an envious expression. "This is a really famous design firm. You're so amazing."
After saying that, she leaned into Phoebe Faulkner's ear and whispered, "It's just... the people here aren't very nice."
Phoebe Faulkner just smiled. 'Quit? Hardly. I was fired.'
