Phoebe Faulkner didn't know what Jace Lennox wanted, either. Yesterday, she had gone to sleep in his room, but he had ended up sleeping in the guest room instead.
"Second Brother." Phoebe Faulkner thought for a moment and felt it was necessary to explain things to him. "This Mr. Lennox is our oldest brother's friend. We're living in his house right now, so you can't be so hostile toward him."
"Oldest Brother's friend?" Lionel Faulkner's eyes darted around, his expression serious. "Little Sis, don't try to fool me. I'm not a kid anymore. Since when did Oldest Brother have a friend this old?"
Phoebe Faulkner stared at Lionel Faulkner, speechless.
'Does he still think Oldest Brother is only seven or eight years old?'
'Then why did he recognize me, all grown up, right away?'
