Millie Sanders felt a wave of disgust as she watched how utterly terrified Dr. Whitecoat looked.
Truth be told, Dr. Whitecoat wasn't bad-looking. He was highly educated with excellent medical skills, so finding a girlfriend should have been a piece of cake. But since he spent most of his time holed up in the hospital, either reading or treating patients, he was still single.
So when someone gentle, considerate, and understanding came along—and more importantly, was introduced by Phoebe Faulkner—it was only natural that he would be interested.
Millie Sanders didn't want to leave, but Dr. Whitecoat led her away anyway.
On the way back to Dr. Whitecoat's house, Millie Sanders took a moment to compose herself before turning to him. "Whitecoat, I mentioned the picnic next weekend to Phoebe, and she's really excited about it. When we have time, should we go buy the supplies for it?"
