"Is this cooked?" Faye Ford looked at the decidedly uncooked sausage in her hand, a strange smile playing on her lips. She understood perfectly well that Phoebe Faulkner was out of sorts, but she chose not to point it out.
Phoebe Faulkner blushed under Faye Ford's gaze and lowered her head.
"Phoebe, if you really have feelings for him, don't miss your chance. You'll regret it otherwise." Faye Ford observed Phoebe Faulkner's reaction, then glanced over at Jace Lennox and Rona Langdon standing nearby. Handing the uncooked sausage back to Phoebe, she smiled and said, "How about you grill this again?"
Hearing this, Phoebe Faulkner looked up nervously. "Faye, you've misunderstood."
"Alright, alright, I get it." Faye Ford patted Phoebe Faulkner's shoulder.
Just as they were speaking, Jace Lennox, who had been standing nearby, suddenly turned and started walking toward them.
