Phoebe Faulkner never knew that Lionel Faulkner liked amusement parks. After they arrived, she found the park was mostly filled with couples and families with young children. A group like theirs was a rare sight indeed.
But in reality, Lionel Faulkner didn't like amusement parks. He only chose this place because he thought Phoebe Faulkner would enjoy it. What he hadn't expected was for Jace Lennox to come along as well.
So, once they were at the park, Lionel Faulkner didn't go on any rides. He just sat there by himself.
Seeing that Lionel Faulkner wasn't participating, Phoebe Faulkner didn't either.
In the end, all three of them just sat there, as if they'd come to the amusement park to watch the scenery instead of going on the rides.
Lionel Faulkner strongly disliked Jace Lennox, but he wanted Phoebe Faulkner to be happy. Seeing her sitting with him instead of having fun, he tugged on her hand. "Little sister, do you like it here? Why aren't you going on any rides?"
