The sun climbed over the treetops, casting a shadow outside the castle. Rose Sanders turned away, took a deep breath, and looked back at Yara Quillan. "Yara, your dress is ready. Let's go inside and try them on. Come take a look at my wedding dress and tell me if it's beautiful, okay?"
"Wedding dress?" Felix Lester finally reacted when he heard those two words. His gaze locked onto Rose Sanders, as if trying to confirm with her that he had misheard.
'I knew Rosie wouldn't forgive me, but... is she really marrying someone else now? Who was it that swore she'd marry no one but me? My Rosie... getting married? Impossible. I must have misheard.'
"Felix, I rushed here for Rosie's wedding. I'm her bridesmaid." Yara Quillan knew how cruel those words were, but today was all the time they had left. If there truly was a misunderstanding, she hoped the two of them could clear the air. She truly, desperately hoped they could.
