Yara Quillan cast aside all other concerns and prepared to kick the door down. But before she could, she gave it a gentle push and it swung open. Henry Lester hadn't locked it at all.
When Yara Quillan walked in, she found Henry Lester sitting on the floor. One leg was stretched out, the other was bent with his hand resting on it, and his back was pressed against the vanity.
Honestly, Yara Quillan had never seen Henry Lester like this. In all the years she'd known him, he had never once shown such a broken side to her.
A sudden ache pierced her heart. She walked over and squatted down, trying to pull him up from the floor. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't budge the man who was a good twenty centimeters taller than her.
