"He's not lying to you." Mark Quillan's cold voice shattered the last shred of hope left in Yara Quillan's heart.
Yara Quillan gripped the pistol tightly, suddenly raising it and aiming at Henry Lester's heart. "Don't come any closer! You're all lying to me! You're all lying to me!"
"My mom and brother were kidnapped! How could Henry Lester have been the one to kill them? You're lying! All of you are lying!"
"Baby, I'm sorry." Henry Lester continued to approach Yara Quillan, as if getting just a little closer would stop her from vanishing.
Seeing Yara like this was more agonizing than having his heart ripped to shreds.
'He should never have been merciful and let Mark Quillan out. If he hadn't, his precious girl might have gone her whole life without ever knowing the truth of that year.'
