Silas Lennox turned back and actually gave Yara Quillan a smile. He was a man who was always stern and unsmiling, someone who probably hadn't smiled in over ten years, yet here he was, smiling at her. The intention was good, but the way his facial muscles contorted was a little strange.
Lucian Sloan, who was just coming downstairs, caught sight of Silas Lennox's bizarre smile and instantly shuddered. He rushed in front of Yara Quillan, shielding her behind him. "Yara, ignore this monster."
"Monster?" Yara Quillan looked at Silas Lennox, then glanced at Lucian Sloan. "Isn't he our second brother?"
Yara Quillan sensed that the relationship between her second and third brothers was a little strange, but she couldn't quite put her finger on why.
During breakfast, Yara Quillan said to Lucian Sloan, "Lucian, I've made up my mind. I'm not going to the hospital. I'm going to get into acting with you."
