"…" Yara Quillan impassively withdrew her hand and offered a smile. "My name is Yara Quillan. I'm not professionally trained. I just started learning to sing."
'As for what roles I've played... Six years ago, I not only acted, but I was the female lead in a box-office smash.'
'Unfortunately, she didn't remember any of it.'
'And as for dancing, with her current agility and past training, there wasn't a dance out there that could stump her.'
'And how was I chosen? I can't very well say I pulled some strings to get in, can I?'
Yara Quillan only answered three of the girl's questions. But those three answers were enough to make the girl's expression shift from ingratiating to disdainful. No longer bothering to waste her breath on Yara, she turned and went back to touch up her makeup.
Yara didn't react. The truth was, she'd spent the last month or so researching the entertainment industry. The benefits were numerous, but the downsides were far greater.
