Wen Ci's lips curved. "What do you think?"
Without a word, Huo Jingyuan threw off the quilt covering him. His upturned, fox-like eyes narrowed, and he stared at her with a dark, profound gaze, speaking slowly and deliberately:
"Why don't I take this off so you can have a closer look and see if I'm injured?"
The man's tone grew a few shades heavier.
As he spoke, he made a move to take off his clothes.
Wen Ci smiled brilliantly, reaching out to pull the quilt back over him. She waved her hand and explained, "I didn't mean anything by it. I just hope you focus on your recovery, so you don't end up less capable than you were before."
Huo Jingyuan: "..."
"Are you subtly mocking me?!"
Wen Ci shrugged. "I said, *so you don't end up*!"
Huo Jingyuan sighed softly. His injuries were mainly on his upper body and had nothing to do with his lower half. After a moment of contemplation, he lifted the quilt and glanced at his abdomen.
