Liam Aldrin poked his fuzzy head over to take a look, smiling as he flicked the diamond with his finger.
"Red diamonds are rare and expensive. The color of this one is particularly vivid, so it must be even pricier. Mr. Keaton is certainly generous with his gifts."
Sophie Keaton felt a strange sense of pride. She lifted her chin and huffed. "Of course! My brother can be a bit of a dictator sometimes, but he's incredibly thoughtful when it comes to Evelyn..."
Before she could finish, her brows suddenly furrowed.
"The gifts for his girlfriend are full of ingenuity and meaning. But every year, my gifts are either just money bluntly deposited into my trust fund, or something he's given me before. Am I adopted or something?"
June Jacobs spoke up quietly, her voice full of envy. "What's wrong with getting cash directly? I wish I had a brother who would just give me money."
