River Walsh had never intended to hide it. He'd expected to be found out, so he wasn't alarmed.
He gazed at the girl in the distance, his eyes filled with lingering tenderness. His voice was soft. "Would you object?"

Dylan Grant felt a headache coming on.
His friend was in love with his sister. Though he had long suspected it, the sheer absurdity of it all didn't hit him until this moment of confirmation.
He was silent for a long time. "It doesn't matter if I agree or not."
His brows slowly knitted together. "So this is why you haven't had a girlfriend all these years?"
"Yes and no," River Walsh said. "Work really has been busy."
He showed no sign of panic at being seen through and continued calmly, "Evelyn doesn't know how I feel. Please don't tell her for now."
Dylan Grant's lips thinned into a line. "When did it start?"
