'Just how calculating is he? No wonder he said he was going to Solara to meet my parents but never actually set a date.'
'He must have guessed long ago that my desire to leave hadn't died. He probably let me escape just once so he could completely snuff out any hope I had left.'
Feeling wronged, Evelyn Grant tried to get off his lap, but the arm wrapped around her waist was unyielding. Preston Keaton looked down at her. "Now, let's talk about something else."
"You said you're used to your free and easy lifestyle, that you don't want to give up being a Makeup Artist, and that you can't be the poised and proper Mrs. Keaton."
