A few weeks had passed, and it was now time for Moving Day. All the patients had packed all their belongings, including Anaka and Rita with her ushanka, unsurprisingly. Then it was time for the patients to be loaded on maxis to leave. But before Anaka had gotten on the maxi, she quickly rushed back to the ward to see her room one last time. Soft rays of sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating the tiled floor. Would she miss it here? Probably not, but she had spent almost 7 years of her life here, and she was now turning a new page in her life. As she stood there, she felt temporary pain coming from her scalp. This wasn't a headache; this was just one of the nurses giving her a hard clout for leaving the group. The nurse then grabbed her hand and dragged her back to the bus while booffing[1] her. When everyone was finally on the maxi, they had made their way to Chaguaramas. In Chaguaramas, there was an airbase where they would be airlifted from to get to a facility that was off the mainland. As the maxi had driven along the road, Anaka could not help but press her face against the window as she looked outside. She saw different houses, some big, some small, some built from brick, some from wood, and even some made from only galvanized. She saw trees swaying side to side as if they were dancing while the wind blew. She saw different birds in the sky as well. As she admired the beauty that she saw along the way, she heard a repetitive rattling noise from one of the windows of the maxi. When she looked for the source of the sound it was coming from one of the patients who had fallen asleep while their head was bouncing on and off the window. As the maxi that Anaka was on got closer to its destination, the fewer houses Anaka saw, and the more trees and other vegetation appeared. When the maxi had reached the heliport, most of the passengers had fallen asleep. The patients were then separated into smaller groups and boarded several helicopters. Before Anaka and Rita had boarded their helicopter, they were greeted by Dr. Aarav, who was familiar to them since he had worked in their ward. He was a very witty person and had a very good sense of humor. "Before we take off, please ensure that your seatbelts are on. Unfortunately, this airline does not offer food or beverages, and if we get lost on the way, I am not afraid to stop and ask for directions,", Dr. Aarav with a smirk on his face. As the rotor blades of the helicopter began to rotate, its landing gears began to lift off the helipad, and the helicopter began to hover. Anaka felt as if her soul had left her body as the helipad below her began to shrink away. The helicopter tilted forward and then began its flight to the intended destination. From this height, everything had looked different; the trees began to look smaller and the buildings that were close by began to shrink as well. Very quickly, the land had vanished entirely, and what could have been seen was the ocean. From above, the ocean had seemed to be an endless expanse of blue, which was often interrupted by wave crests. The further out the helicopter went, the more water appeared to be still. "And here it is, Chacachacare Island!" Dr. Aarav exclaimed as the helicopter began to approach its destination.
After the helicopter that Anaka was on had landed, they had then loaded on multiple 4-seated vehicles that were like O.R.Vs. They then began their tour of the facility. As they began their tour, something had caught Anaka's attention. As the vehicles waited outside the gate to enter the compound, she saw that at the northern side of the facility, there were two separate fences. The inner fence consisted of barbed wire, and the top of that fence consisted of razor wire, while the outer fence was an electronic fence that also consisted of cameras on the top of the fence. Between those two fences was a concrete path that was monitored by armed guards. When her group had entered the facility, Anaka also noticed at the southern side of it which faces the sea there was a playground and a cricket field as well, but those things did not stand out to her the most. What was the massive concrete wall that went along the shore? The wall loomed above almost everything around it, and towards each corner of it was a guard tower which was manned by armed guards as well. To Anaka, it felt like she had just entered a prison. "What's with this big wall?" one of the patients had asked. "Well, it's for your own safety since the government does not want anything to happen to you kids," "Safety, but who would want to hurt us?" Anaka thought to herself. As she sat there, a million thoughts went through her head; the more questions she asked herself, the more distrustful she became of everyone who was working on the island. Anaka's stream of thoughts was interrupted by Dr. Aarav's announcement that her group had just reached the building that Anaka and her group would be staying in. In the facility, patients were separated into different wards based on the conditions of their abilities, which are called 'extremities'. Anaka was placed in the extensive research ward since further research was being done on her ability. Rita was also placed there as well. As Anaka had gotten out of the vehicle, she realized that the ward that she would be staying in only had windows on the ground floor but none on the other floors, this cause to be concerned. Most of the building consisted of a metal facade on the exterior. The building stood tall and rectangular, reflecting the sunlight. To the right-hand side of the building was another building, which was called 'Block A', and it was connected by a sky bridge. Block A was the cafeteria. After the group stood outside for quite a while, they then decided to go inside.
