But a moment later, she quickly looked at Fang Yue. "Fang, I just lost my temper. I'm not usually like this."
"Oh."
Fang Yue nodded, ignoring her.
Because by now, the Changping Army soldiers were less than twenty zhang away from them.
"Heh heh, two survivors," the voice from before rang out again, having spotted Fang Yue and Li Mengyao hiding in the pit. "Cut off one of your arms, and I'll spare your life!"
The two were too close together. If the Divine Arm Breaking Air Crossbows were used, Li Mengyao would be killed as well.
That was why he hadn't ordered his men to fire their arrows. Instead, he demanded Fang Yue sever his own arm.
Hearing this, Li Mengyao's face flushed red with anger, and she clenched her fists tightly.
And at that very moment, Fang Yue moved.
He shot to his feet, stomping his right foot down so hard it shattered the earth, and charged straight out of the pit.
"You're courting death!"
The owner of the voice barked coldly, watching the scene unfold.
