Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Immortal medicine and Ruthless Great Emperor

The Immortal Path is long and arduous; no one dares to claim they can traverse it.

Shaohua is no exception.

Having ideas is good, but being too conceited is not; such people have mostly turned into dry bones on the Emperor Path.

She still needs to find her own path and undergo a final transformation.

Regarding these matters, she already has some thoughts.

Of course, those are matters for the future; she hasn't forgotten that there are still groups of dead spirits in the Underworld secretly coveting her family.

The Underworld searches for various True Bloods, wishing to unite myriad bloodlines to forge a Chaotic Body, and has always coveted the Immortal Golden Body bloodline.

In the original timeline, Old Father met with misfortune, and her mother couldn't protect him.

One must know that, in the current Underworld, the number of Supreme-level existences might exceed a single hand's count.

Coupled with their deliberate planning against the unsuspecting, and their possession of the profound treasure of the netherworld, an immortal artifact, if they truly resolve to act, no one can resist them, not even a contemporary Dao Prover.

Shaohua feels a pang of sorrow, not wanting such a tragedy to unfold before her eyes.

A perfected Immortal Golden Body can live for ten thousand years, capable of battling Supremes and challenging Great Emperors, but once their vital energy declines in old age, a lifetime of glory will turn into desolation.

Of course, a Great Emperor's lifespan is even longer; Shaohua speculates that her mother, having proven the Dao with a congenital Dao Fetus, should have at least fifteen thousand years of lifespan.

So, even without calamities, it would be somewhat difficult for her parents to grow old together.

"I need to find Immortal medicine to renew a peak life."

Shaohua's eyes flickered slightly; she shook her head. No matter what, having Immortal medicine in hand would give her more confidence.

In the universe, most known Immortal medicines are located within Life Forbidden Zones. Unless one charges in to seize them, no Supreme would readily hand them over; each one guards their Immortal medicine very closely.

This is also related to how much her family of three is feared. A contemporary Great Emperor coupled with a perfected Immortal Golden Body, and even their child, who achieved an alternative Dao and can battle Supremes—no one wishes for this family to live another lifetime.

To be precise, in the eyes of the Forbidden Zone Supremes, isn't this family also a unique "Forbidden Zone"?

Especially a few old Supremes who are nearing their limits, they truly wish they could curse them to death directly.

"Aside from those within the Forbidden Zones, there are also a few Immortal medicines scattered elsewhere: the Divine Phoenix Immortal medicine in Purple Mountain, the True Dragon Undying Elixir in Myriad Dragon Nest, and the white tiger undying medicine in Kunlun Mountain," Shaohua murmured to herself.

Purple Mountain is still called Ancient Emperor Mountain now, it was Undying Heavenly Emperor's former territory, and that old bird is still lurking in the shadows. It's best not to provoke him easily right now.

Her family is destined to clash with the Underworld; she cannot provoke another major enemy. It would be unfavorable if Undying Heavenly Emperor suddenly appeared then.

As for the other two places, the True Dragon Undying Elixir in Myriad Dragon Nest is probably the easiest to obtain; only the Imperial Armament Myriad Dragon Bell is somewhat noteworthy.

Myriad Dragon Emperor is still paralyzed in Primordial Ancient Mine, but if he dared to jump out, he would only be beaten into an old loach.

Instead of worrying about Myriad Dragon Emperor, it's better to be concerned about Ruthless Great Emperor, after all, Myriad Dragon Emperor is from the era before the previous one. The previous owner of the True Dragon Undying Elixir is in Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land.

As for Kunlun Mountain, although it is covered by an Imperial Formation and has even given birth to a formation spirit, appearing formidable, in reality, if one truly wishes to enter, a single Imperial Formation cannot stop a contemporary Great Emperor.

Beyond these, there is actually the Life Ancient Tree, left behind on the Mythological Other Shore. The reason it wasn't considered is because the Life Ancient Tree is already in Shaohua's possession.

She had already acquired Treasure Heaven Venerable's killing sword and formation diagram back then; how could she possibly overlook the Immortal medicine right before her eyes?

However, a single Immortal medicine is not enough for a family of three.

"Only children make choices; adults, of course, want them all!" Shaohua's eyes curved into crescents, her gaze bright, and a captivating smile appeared on her face.

Her green robes fluttered as she took a single step, arriving in the Northern Region. After several searches, she found the location of Myriad Dragon Nest.

For an existence like her, even without having studied source techniques or similar scriptures, she could perceive the world's dynamics and discern various profound mysteries.

Moreover, with Celestial Treasure Heavenly Lord's Killing Formation Diagram in hand, the Zu Secret was naturally also mastered by Shaohua. Her grasp of mountains and all things was not necessarily inferior to that of a so-called Source Heavenly Master.

Looking intently, she saw nine dragon caves appearing deep within the earth, connected internally. At the deepest point, a massive nest floated in chaos.

Shaohua was fearless. What could harm her here, with only an ancient imperial weapon, the Myriad Dragon Bell, and a fragmented imperial Dao formation?

"True Dragon Undying Elixir!"

This Immortal medicine was not in the deepest part of the dragon's nest, but at the confluence of dragon qi in front of it. Nourished by the qi of myriad dragons and the essence of divine sources, its entire body was cast like gold, over a foot tall, with nine dazzling leaves.

At the apex of this divine medicine, there was a golden fruit, resembling a palm-sized golden mini-dragon, crystal clear and lifelike, holding a golden dragon pearl in its mouth.

Speaking of which, the ancient race of Myriad Dragon Nest was also quite vexed; the True Dragon Undying Elixir seemed to be fickle, forgetting the former Myriad Dragon Emperor after following Ruthless Great Emperor, to the extent that the Immortal medicine was right before their eyes, yet they could never pluck it.

Shaohua tried to communicate with the True Dragon Undying Elixir, but unexpectedly, this fellow was still thinking of its previous owner.

Furthermore, this place was probably the most suitable for its growth in the world, so there was no scene of her body shaking and the Immortal medicine actively following her.

"Since you're unwilling to leave with me, then I'll gladly accept your fruit."

Shaohua had a good mindset. She extended her slender, fair hand, and this time, she easily took the divine medicine's fruit.

Since she had come, she couldn't possibly leave empty-handed.

She stepped deeper, successively seeing three vermilion coffins, presumably containing the corpse of Ruthless Great Emperor, as the Primordial Race had no custom of coffin burial.

Finally, she stood before the dragon's nest, built from dark dragonwood, gazing at the fourth coffin floating in chaos.

She silently paused to pay her respects, showing reverence.

Although this master's reputation in her first life was somewhat unfavorable, she was, after all, a Human Great Emperor, a predecessor on the path of cultivation.

She had once suppressed and killed an Imperial Dao Fire Spirit, and it was also she who, with a single sword, severed the Heavenly Break Mountain Range, turning the ancestral land of the Saint Spirit Imperial Race into ruins. In a sense, she also cleared a Life Forbidden Zone.

Otherwise, how could the name 'Heavenly Emperor of the Southern Ridge' circulate in the world?

"Ruthless Great Emperor…" Shaohua sighed softly. This was a woman whose talent astonished the ages.

Suddenly, she saw a hazy glow flying out from the ancient dragonwood nest, very mysterious, circling around the deepest ancient coffin, and finally flying out of the dragon's nest.

"immortal treasure map!"

A look of surprise flashed in Shaohua's eyes. She hadn't expected this immortal treasure map, which flew out only once every tens of thousands of years, to appear at this time. Her hands, however, were not idle, and she collected it.

This was an ancient scroll, shimmering and sparkling, as if forged from the essence of the sun and moon, yet very soft. It was square-shaped, with three diagrams on its back, one of which depicted the mountain range of Kunlun Mountain.

For Shaohua, this was truly a blessing, like a pillow arriving when one is sleepy, as she had just been thinking of visiting Kunlun.

The other two diagrams contained partial secrets of the immortal bell and the desolate pagoda, though these were merely contents added by later generations to the back.

Others might not know, but Shaohua was aware that the front of the immortal treasure map, depicting the myriad realms, recorded the imprint of the Human Realm Universe, and even concealed a void map of the Immortal Realm!

"This is truly a great gift. It is indeed Ruthless, but she also possesses the aura of a Heavenly Emperor. Perhaps I will have to visit Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land someday," she mused inwardly, then turned and departed.

Plucking the fruit of the True Dragon Undying Elixir and unexpectedly obtaining the immortal treasure map, this trip was truly fruitful.

On the ground, everyone in the Northern Region's Holy Land, the Underworld God Palace, prostrated themselves, not daring to make any movement, until the terrifying aura dissipated for a long time before they dared to rise.

The blood of ancient creatures flowed within them, and their cultivation methods originated from Myriad Dragon Nest, so they naturally feared being slapped to death.

"All things have spirits. Considering your difficult cultivation, take care of yourselves."

Shaohua left behind a sword intent. If these fellows dared to commit evil, or if Myriad Dragon Nest caused trouble, she wouldn't mind clearing out an ancient imperial race ahead of time.

Indeed, the artifact she forged was a sword, cast from an immortal metal not mentioned in the original text, now extremely close to an Imperial Armament, and had once drunk Supreme blood.

"Another one has come…"

After she left, a young girl sealed in the divine source of the dragon's nest seemed to awaken.

But upon sensing the newcomer's aura, she dared not make any movement, only vaguely seeing a green figure, and then continued to fall into slumber.

Blessings to my fellow readers, may you have health and longevity, I love you all!
