Chapter 53 - Chapter 53 Young Devil Gathering

They all walked inside the large conference room in Kuoh Academy.

The leaders sat down in their respective seats.

Sirzechs, Michael, Azazel, and Yasaka sat around the large meeting table.

Elias sat right in the very center.

Dee happily climbed up and sat right on his lap.

She leaned back against his chest like it was a completely normal thing to do.

And because it was Elias and the terrifying Pale Goddess, absolutely nobody questioned it.

The leaders began the peace treaty meeting.

"We must look at the cause and effect of our past wars,"

Michael said gently.

"Too many lives were lost for nothing. Our fighting only brought sadness."

"We need to set clear conditions,"

Azazel added, leaning forward in his chair.

"If we share our information, we can stop the Khaos Brigade together before they cause more trouble."

They talked deeply about compromises.

The Devils agreed to stop fighting the Angels. The Angels agreed to let Devils live in peace. The Yokai agreed to help protect the magical borders in Japan.

Because everyone truly wanted peace, the conversation went perfectly smoothly.

There was no yelling or fighting.

Everything was quickly agreed upon.

The great peace treaty was officially a success.

After the long talk was finally over, Sirzechs walked over to Elias.

"Elias,"

Sirzechs said with a warm, polite smile.

"I have a special invitation for you."

Elias looked up, keeping his arms wrapped safely around Dee's waist.

"What is it?"

Elias asked curiously.

"There is an important event coming up in the Underworld called the Young Devil Gathering,"

Sirzechs explained.

"It is a large, formal party. It is a place for the new, younger generation of Devils to meet, talk, and build connections for the future."

Sirzechs gestured respectfully toward Elias.

"You are not technically a Devil,"

Sirzechs said.

"But you have the deep, ancient power of the Evil King Piece inside of you. That makes you a part of our world. You are more than qualified to join."

Sirzechs smiled.

"It would also be a great support for Rias to have you there as her fiancee."

Elias thought about it for a second.

"Alright,"

Elias nodded simply.

"I will join the gathering with Rias."

Rias's face instantly lit up with a huge, beautiful smile.

She was incredibly happy. Having Elias by her side in the Underworld would make everything perfect.

Far away from the bright human world, deep inside the dark Underworld.

Diodora Astaroth sat in a fancy, dimly lit room.

He was holding a glass of red wine, looking incredibly angry.

Across from him stood a tall man wearing a dark cloak.

The man belonged to the Old Satan Faction, a group of dangerous, evil Devils who wanted to start another war.

"The Young Devil Gathering is almost here,"

The cloaked man said in a low, raspy voice.

"All the young heirs will be in one place. It is the perfect time for our plan to strike."

"Yes, yes,"

Diodora said, waving his hand impatiently.

"Your faction can do whatever you want to the other heirs. I only care about one thing."

Diodora squeezed his glass tightly.

His green eyes burned with pure, ugly hatred.

"I heard the news,"

Diodora growled.

"That lowly devil, Elias. He took Asia Argento into his house."

The cloaked man chuckled.

"A nun? Why do you care so much about her?"

"Because she was supposed to be mine!"

Diodora yelled, slamming his glass down hard on the table.

"I planned everything perfectly!"

Diodora breathed heavily, his handsome face twisting with cruel anger.

"I was the one who tricked the Church,"

Diodora confessed, a sick smile on his face.

"I pretended to be hurt so she would heal a Devil. I made sure they kicked her out and called her a witch. She was supposed to have absolutely nowhere else to go. She was supposed to fall right into my arms, begging me for help!"

He gritted his teeth, his voice shaking with rage.

"She was going to be my favorite little plaything,"

Diodora sneered.

"I was going to own her. But then he stepped in and ruined everything! He took her in before I could trap her."

The cloaked man watched him calmly.

"So, what are you going to do about it?"

A dark, evil smile slowly spread across Diodora's face.

"I want revenge,"

Diodora whispered, his voice dripping with poison.

"When Elias and Rias are busy at the Gathering, I will send my people to the human world. We will kidnap the sweet little nun."

He leaned back in his chair, laughing a terrible, cold laugh.

"I will bring her here and completely break her spirit,"

Diodora promised evilly.

"And I will make sure Elias is forced to watch the whole thing. I will make him deeply regret ever stealing my toy."

The cloaked man stared at Diodora in absolute silence.

Under his dark hood, his face twisted in deep disgust.

He thought Diodora was sick, twisted, and completely pathetic.

A true, proud Devil shouldn't act like a spoiled, whiny child obsessing over a human girl.

But the cloaked man didn't say any of those thoughts out loud.

"Very well,"

The cloaked man said smoothly, perfectly hiding his true feelings.

"Do what you must, Diodora. But remember our deal. We need you to act as our spy. You must watch the other young heirs during the Gathering. Do not let your little revenge game ruin our grand plan."

"Don't tell me what to do,"

Diodora snapped, taking another sip of his red wine.

"I know my role. I will be your perfect spy inside the party. You will get your glorious war, and I will get my sweet toy back."

The cloaked man nodded slowly. He stepped back and vanished into the dark shadows.

He would tolerate this foolish boy for now. Once the Old Satan Faction started their true war, Diodora's usefulness would come to an end anyway.

Back in the human world, time passed very quickly.

The days flew by as everyone in the Kuoh mansion prepared for the big trip to the Underworld.

But Elias didn't just sit around and wait. He used his free time to get even stronger.

Right now, he was sitting in a quiet, hidden room with Rin.

"Focus your energy, Elias,"

Rin instructed seriously. She crossed her arms, acting like a strict teacher.

"Magecraft is very different from Devil magic or Sacred Gears. It is about understanding the deep rules of the world and changing them. You need to feel the natural flow inside you."

Elias nodded calmly. He held his hand out, and a small, perfect red flame sparked to life on his fingertips.

Because of his Adaptivity power, he was learning her complex family magic incredibly fast.

Rin smiled proudly.

"Perfect,"

Rin praised him.

"You are a very fast learner. You might actually become a master mage soon."

"Well, he is only learning quickly because he is smart,"

A new, fancy voice suddenly interrupted them.

The wooden door swung open. A beautiful girl with golden blonde ringlets and an elegant blue dress walked inside.

It was Luvia Edelfelt.

"It is truly a shame he has to learn from a second-rate mage like you, Tohsaka,"

Luvia teased loudly, laughing gracefully behind her hand.

"Ohohoho!"

Rin's face instantly turned bright red with anger.

"What did you just call me, you fake rich girl?!"

Rin yelled, pointing a sharp finger at her rival.

"You heard exactly what I said,"

Luvia smirked confidently, walking right up to Rin until they were face-to-face.

"I just came to check on Elias. He needs to see what real, high-class magic looks like, not your cheap, outdated tricks."

"Cheap tricks?!"

Rin growled, sparks of red magic cracking around her hands.

"Do you want to fight right now, Luvia?!"

"Bring it on!"

Luvia challenged, blue magic glowing in her own hands.

Elias let out a soft sigh and shook his head.

He watched the two girls start arguing loudly, yelling and pushing each other.

They always bickered and messed with each other like this. It was their strange, loud way of being friends.

But while they argued, Elias looked away and stared out the window.

Even with his friends laughing and shouting in the room, he could feel a very heavy tension in the air.

The peace treaty had been signed, but the dark shadows in the world were still moving.

He knew the Young Devil Gathering was just a few days away.

And deep in his chest, Elias had a strong, quiet feeling.

He knew that as soon as that fancy party in the Underworld was over, a very dark and dangerous war was finally going to begin.
