The doors to the auction hall slammed shut, cutting off the man's angry shouts.
Zhu Congxi said helplessly, "My friend, we agreed there's no fighting in the auction hall. Are you trying to break the rules?"
The man's companions all clenched their fists, fuming but not daring to speak.
Their leader had been sent flying out. What could they possibly do?
Besides, the man was sitting in the VIP section.
Chaoyang clapped his hands, then sank back into his seat, an indescribably languid expression on his face, as if what had just happened had nothing to do with him.
"Not everyone is qualified to be my old man. Besides, I didn't hit him. He fell out on his own."
Zhu Congxi's brow twitched, but he didn't press the matter further.
He continued shouting from the stage, "That last bid doesn't count. Does anyone else want to bid?"
He called out three times in a row, but the entire hall was silent.
No one dared to upstage Chaoyang again.
