"What do you mean? I told you, I didn't kill Maeve Walsh!"
"You did? So she jumped into the sea on her own?" Donovan Lawrence actually laughed. "Who's going to believe that? Do you guys believe it? Given how smug Maeve Walsh was after getting her Storage Space, do you really think she'd jump into the sea to kill herself a second later?"
It wasn't just Donovan Lawrence; no one here believed it.
It was ridiculous. Maeve Walsh was perfectly fine, so why would she jump into the sea? What a joke.
Seeing that no one believed him, Jason Sterling could only grit his teeth and say, "What good would her death do me? My fourteen million worth of supplies were all in her space, you know!"
That one sentence successfully shut everyone up.
