To rule out a problem with the dungeon itself, Renee Kane opened her Skill page. She found all her Skills were working just fine; none were grayed out or unclickable.
'So what exactly happened to Snowball?'
'There's the rule that a Puppet can't be more than 100 meters from its master. If he was really forcibly taken away by the Holy Daughter and her group, I would have been dragged along with him unless he was still very close by.'
'Since I'm perfectly fine, that means Snowball has either vanished completely or is still somewhere nearby.'
She tried calling out, "Snowball? Are you nearby? If you are, give me a sign."
But the air remained silent. No one answered Renee Kane.
After a moment's thought, she took out a pen and paper and placed them on the table. "Can you write?"
The pen suddenly rose into the air and slowly began to write on the paper: "Master, I think... something strange has happened to me."
Renee Kane's eyes lit up. 'It's working.'
