"See? I didn't lie to you."
Selene stroked her temples tiredly. "That's true. But you hid important information from me."
"I was only worried that you would stay there much longer if you knew the whole story."
Selene groaned in frustration but eventually gave in. "Fine. I'll let you off the hook this time. But next time, you're not allowed to hide anything from me."
"I'll do that if you do the same."
Selene was immediately rendered speechless because she was still keeping several secrets of her own. One of them was the true cause of Klain and Rhea's deaths. "Forget it." Selene shook her head. "Everyone has their own secrets."
She turned around and prepared to leave, but Caelis suddenly pulled her back into his arms. "That's true. But at least don't hide anything that concerns your life. I won't hide such things from you either."
"It's a deal, then."
