ELARA'S POV.
"Can I have my phone to make a call?" I said, wiggling my toes on the hospital bed. Oddly, this was becoming a constant setting for me.
I had been admitted for more times than I could count without taking any significant damages.
"I'm sorry, you'll have to get a new device," the nurse spoke gently. "Your car was totaled including any devices with you. It's a miracle you got out without a scratch."
I raised my head and fixed my attention on him. His curved lips straightened as he gently clamped his fists and cleared his throat.
The nurse pointed across the room, his fingers falling in the direction of an unconscious man with broken limbs. "You were both unconscious for a day until you woke up yesterday. I can't say this same for the other guy," his voice dropped. "He's barely alive with fractured ribs and a small dent in his skull," he said, concern etched over his forehead.
