ELARA'S POV.
No words.
I literally had nothing to say as I kept stealing a glance at him, tucking my hair beside my ears and tightening my crossed arms over my chest.
The elevator couldn't run any faster. It felt like I was trapped in a time loop with a man I had just dismissed, a man who was excited to meet me for absolutely no reason.
Sick of the awkward tension between us, I turned towards him uncrossing my arms and heaved a frustrated sigh. "Look, I'm sorry for brushing you off, Mr…." I paused and arched a brow
"...Shawn" he replied after I froze for a brief while. "I told you the name's Shawn." A warm smile parted his lips.
"But it's okay," he continued. "I understand that this job can be frustrating sometimes. And Mrs Sylvia can be a lot to bear."
"Thank you," I chuckled, sweeping my hair backwards. "I really have to think through an impossible task that I don't want to do, it's killing me even thinking about it." I sighed.
