Chapter 1 - Unnamed

CH 1:

"The Girl Who Waited in the Rain"

Every night at exactly 11:47 PM, the rain would begin.

It didn't matter if the sky had been clear all day—the clouds would gather suddenly, and a soft, steady drizzle would fall over the quiet streets of the small town.

And every night, under the old streetlamp near the abandoned train station, she would appear.

Ethan first saw her on a sleepless night. He was walking home, headphones in, lost in his thoughts, when he noticed a girl standing in the rain.

She wore a pale blue dress, her long dark hair damp, her eyes fixed on the empty railway tracks. She didn't move. Didn't even flinch at the cold rain soaking her completely.

"Hey… are you okay?" Ethan asked, stepping closer.

She slowly turned her head. Her eyes were soft, distant… like she was looking through him.

"I'm waiting," she said quietly.

"For what?"

"For someone who promised he'd come back."

Something about her voice made Ethan stay. That night, he walked her home—but strangely, she stopped at the station gate.

"I can't go further," she whispered, then disappeared into the rain.

CH 2:. The next night, she was there again. Same time. Same place.

Her name was Lila.

Night after night, Ethan returned. They talked—about dreams, music, the stars she loved but never seemed to see. She laughed softly, but there was always sadness behind it.

One night, Ethan brought her a red umbrella.

"You'll get sick standing in the rain like this," he smiled.

Lila looked at it… but didn't take it.

"I can't hold things like that," she said gently.

That's when Ethan noticed—her hands never touched anything.

Curious and uneasy, Ethan searched the town archives.

And what he found made his heart stop.

Ten years ago, a girl named Lila died in a train accident… at that exact station… at exactly 11:47 PM.

She had been waiting for someone.

Someone who never came.

CH 3:That night, Ethan ran to the station, breathless.

"You're… you're not alive, are you?" he whispered.

Lila smiled faintly.

"I was waiting for him… but I think I forgot what he looks like."

Rain fell harder.

Ethan stepped closer.

"Then… don't wait for him anymore," he said softly. "Stay… with me instead."

For the first time, Lila's eyes filled with something new—not sadness… but warmth.

"But I'm just a ghost," she said.

Ethan shook his head.

"You're not just anything."

CH 4:The next night… the rain didn't come.

The streetlamp flickered softly. The station stood empty.

But on the ground, right where she used to stand, lay a small red umbrella… dry.

Ethan picked it up, smiling through tears.

And somewhere, beyond time and rain, Lila was finally no longer waiting.
