"Fuck, fuck, fuck, we're fucked, how did Jack let him escape???" Alex looked like he was about to pull out his hairs.
"Aeric!! Drop the girl over there, we'll keep an eye on her let's deal with this guy first or all our efforts will be in vain, Nelson block him from the other side!" Alex screamed out then pulled out an electric baton and walked towards the howling wolf carefully.
Aeric ran over to the wolf's back and dropped Kira beside a tree without a care "you stay there princess or it'll be bad if I catch you."
Nelson blocked the wolf from the last opening gap, the three of them forming a barricade to prevent the wolf from escaping.
"Should I run? Or should I stay?" Kira thought while watching the three of them preoccupied then her eyes landed on the wolf again.
"And what on Earth is that? A wolf standing on two legs? Warewolves really exist?" Kira thought while standing up carefully, as for the thought of staying? She'd rather risk her chance to escape than stay here with them like a fool.
"Sit down!!" Aeric shouted while staring straight at her. Kira sighed then crawled back to her position, "looks like there's no hope for me, for now. I should've listened to Silas"
Kira had lost all hope and looked at the wolf that remained unmoving just staring at the three people who had him surrounded then it let out another loud howl and jumped towards Alex, the other party stood his ground firmly with bulging muscles and wacked the baton towards the wolf pushing it back and creating sparks across it's fur, Kira looked over and saw the baton crackling with electric sparks, same as the one Aeric and Nelson were holding.
The wolf stood up again and watched around it, it's red eyes shining in the night. Staring at it Kira felt the same intensity from that eyes as the one she felt ten years ago. Others with red eyes exists but there was something different about his eyes, it gave off an oppressing aura just like his.
"Is it him? He eats humans also, could it be him?" Kira muttered silently then remembered they were referring to him as the teenager being carried earlier, he was way younger than the man she met but....
"He might know something about it, those eyes" she muttered then pulled out a small black pistol from the underside of her coat and cocked it in her hand, trying to be as unnoticeable as possible.
"Just seal off the exit, he's exhausted already he can't do much, keep him at bag and we're good to go." Alex said while gripping the baton tightly.
The wolf looked up and stared round him looking at the humans treating him as prey, then stared at Kira, he looked desperate, looking for a way out.
It suddenly snapped and jumped at Nelson, the other party raised his baton when suddenly the wolf turned and lunged at Aeric. Caught offguard, Aeric was almost sent rolling back when his body suddenly started expanding and even without the baton he held the wolf with his bare hands and sent it rolling back.
"Cunning bastard almost got me" Aeric said then reduced his size back to normal while panting heavily with his baton raised again, it seemed the transformation took a lot from him.
"I told you to watch your guard, if we let him escape that's five years of our pay gone, and we'll be hunted down for intruding in the university's premises, you'd better be prepared to retire to the countryside and farm carrots!" Alex screamed out while still focusing on the wolf.
"And you!! Don't you dare play tricks or I might just kill you there" he suddenly turned and stared straight at Kira making her shudder in fear.
"Raise your guards, he's exhausted already this shouldn't be hard" Nelson said while observing the wolf.
For the next ten minutes, it was a relentless circle of hitting the wolf from one to the other, giving it no chance to escape or resist.
'They don't want to kill him, they'll keep doing that till he passes out and when he's out I'll be next.' Kira thought then raised the black gum in her hand then pointed it straight at Aeric who was closest to her.
The side of the gum lighted up then sparks of electricity crackled at the muzz, in the dark night the sound was like sparks of fire alerting everyone nearby.
"Aeric watch out!!!" Alex screamed out then....
"Bang!!!!!"
The next thing they saw was a full head sized hole in Aeric's heart, the other side was clearly visible to them like everything in it was totally vaporized.
"Bitch, fucking bitch" he said then fell back lifeless on the ground.
Kira suddenly raised the gun again and pulled the trigger pointing it at Nelson, a ring of light gradually lit up round the black gun making Nelson jump in fright.
Nelson fell down in fright and Alex was about to run when suddenly the gun blackened out.
'It ran out of energy' Kira thought with her heart pounding wondering what would happen to her now that her last hope was gone when she saw a huge shadow lunge over and rip Nelson's head off in an instant.
"It's still alive" Alex looked around him then turned around in the opposite direction intending to run when the wolf ran across and blocked his escape route in an instant, he looked flustered with sweat dripping down his forehead and stepped back gradually with his baton raised high.
"Don't force this and just let me go, you can't keep me here." Alex said but the wolf didn't seem to pay attention, circling round him like a caught prey then it lunged at him in an instant, Alex wacked the baton at him but the wolf twisted and dodged it then hit the baton away from his hands.
Alex looked around while sweating bucks then said with resolute eyes "You forced me, I'm not dying alone then"
He picked a branch from the ground nearby and lunged at Kira. The last thing Kira saw before passing out was the wolf tearing Alex apart and a pool of blood beside her.
