Chapter 9 - She Is Not Yandere, But Don't Question Her Strength

The moment Andrew was pulled up by Scarlett, his vision instantly went black.

He hadn't had a single drop of water since morning, had been standing for so long, and had sweated quite a bit. Having just been sitting for a while, his physical strength couldn't handle suddenly standing up.

Andrew staggered back and forth; failing to steady himself, he was about to pitch forward and fall.

"Careful."

Seeing this, Scarlett quickly supported Andrew with both hands, finally steadying him and preventing him from falling.

Andrew blinked hard several times, and after a brief moment, his vision finally returned.

Looking at Scarlett supporting him, he didn't even have the spare energy to feel nervous or afraid; he simply whispered his thanks.

"Thank you, Teacher Scarlett."

"Let me help you walk so you don't fall later."

Scarlett supported Andrew as they walked toward the exit of the sports field.

Andrew didn't have the strength to lift his head and look elsewhere, but his ears could hear the sounds coming from all around.

Amidst the noise, there were shouts of "Holy crap," "How is that fair?" and "I want that too." Someone who didn't know better would have thought some celebrity was going to have dinner with him.

At this moment, Finance Class Four was abuzz with discussion. Olivia's lips twitched in extreme embarrassment; not only was she losing face, but it also felt somewhat humiliating.

Meanwhile, Ethan's mouth was open wide enough to swallow a goose egg.

"Hey, Ethan, what's up with you? Opening your mouth so wide, you looking to eat shit?"

"Eat your mother's head!"

Ethan cursed at Stark, then closed his mouth slightly and said with some concern, "I'm a bit worried about whether Andrew can come back alive."

"Huh? Why?"

"You wouldn't understand. I can't explain it to you in just a moment."

Although Ethan wasn't exactly emotionally sharp, he wasn't stupid either. There was no way he'd badmouth Scarlett in public, that would basically be asking for trouble.

Right now, he was just wondering if he should call an ambulance in advance… just in case Andrew needed emergency help.

While he was still hesitating, the assembly whistle suddenly blew.

With no choice, Ethan hurried to join the formation, silently offering a prayer for his unfortunate friend.

Andrew… rest in peace. I'll take good care of your game account.

---

Meanwhile, Andrew and Scarlett had already left the sports field. Andrew's vision had basically fully recovered, and he hurriedly pulled away from Scarlett's support.

"What's wrong?"

Scarlett thought Andrew was feeling unwell somewhere.

"It's nothing, I... I can walk by myself now."

Andrew's voice was still quite low, but from his nervous stuttering, Scarlett could still sense Andrew's resistance and fear toward her.

Wasn't he fine when I dropped him off at school this morning? Why is he afraid of me again?

Although Scarlett was a little puzzled, seeing that Andrew looked lightheaded from hunger, she didn't press him. Instead, she took him straight to the Third Cafeteria and bought him a breakfast set, pancakes and a cup of iced coffee.

"Eat slowly. I already spoke to your instructor, it's fine if you're late for assembly."

"Oh… okay. Thank you, Professor."

Scarlett let out a quiet sigh. "You don't have to thank me for every little thing."

"Ok."

Andrew nodded and opened his drink. He glanced at Scarlett, intending to act a bit more composed.

But he was truly thirsty and hungry. The moment the cold, sweet coffee hit his mouth, it felt like a lifeline. He finished the entire cup in just a few seconds.

Then he reached for his fork.

"Wait a second."

"Mm!"

Her voice wasn't loud, but it carried a natural authority. Calm, cool… the kind of voice that could easily belong to a strict older sister.

To Andrew, though, it still sounded like a command.

Now that Scarlett told him to wait a moment, he immediately stopped and didn't dare move his fork.

Just as Andrew was wondering if it was because his manner of drinking just now was too rude and barbaric, causing Scarlett's dissatisfaction—

The other party instead took out a tissue from her bag, reached out, and wiped away the traces from the corner of his mouth and his neck.

He froze completely.

She looked at him, expression unreadable.

"You got it everywhere," she said flatly.

'Like a child,' Scarlett thought to herself.

After wiping him clean, her gaze shifted to his damp hair, messy from sweat. She took out a handkerchief.

Seeing this, Andrew quickly shook his head.

"Um… Teacher Scarlett, it's okay. You don't need to dry my hair."

"Tsk!"

Scarlett frowned and made a clicking sound, "Don't move."

Andrew immediately dared not move, letting Scarlett reach over to dry his wet hair and even meticulously tidy it up.

Scarlett disliked messy and slovenly things. Seeing Andrew's hair in disarray, she felt the urge to help him tidy it.

"There."

Scarlett withdrew her handkerchief. Looking at Andrew, who had become clean-cut and youthful again after her tidying, her mood also improved, and the corners of her mouth curled into a smile.

It looks much more comfortable this way.

After smiling briefly, Scarlett's expression returned to calm. She stood up and said to Andrew, "Finish your pancakes. I'll go get you another drink."

Andrew nodded. Watching Scarlett's departing back, he murmured in his heart, "Did Scarlett just smile? Or did I see wrong?"

That was the first time he had ever seen her smile, and it left him doubting his own eyes.

A short while later, Scarlett returned with another cup of iced coffee and sat down across from him.

Andrew continued eating, but before long, he slowed down, feeling a little uneasy.

"Te… Teacher Scarlett… Why are you staring at me?"

"There's no one else here. If I don't look at you, should I stare at the canteen lady?"

Her tone was flat, leaving Andrew with no good response. He lowered his head again and focused on his food.

He actually wanted to suggest she could just look at her phone, but there was no way he had the courage to say that out loud.

As for Scarlett, she watched him partly out of curiosity. She really didn't understand why he was so afraid of her. At most, she was just a little cold and quiet, she didn't think she was particularly scary, fierce or terrifying, right?

But mostly… she just found him amusing to watch.

Heh, this Little Thing is quite fun to watch while eating, like a little hamster.

I wonder if feeding him is also like feeding a hamster?

---

For the last four pancake, Andrew's eating couldn't be called trembling with fear, but it was certainly extremely awkward.

However, right until he finished eating, parted with Scarlett, and returned to the sports field alone, no accidents occurred. The terrifying things he had been worried about never appeared.

After reporting to the instructor, Andrew returned to the formation.

Seeing Andrew return unscathed and even full of energy, Ethan's face was full of disbelief, and he kept asking him all sorts of questions.

"Andy, you actually came back? What did Scarlett call you for? She didn't really take you to eat breakfast, did she..."

This guy wouldn't stop talking. Andrew didn't answer, but the instructor caught him first, "The one in the back, who gave you permission to whisper! Get out and run ten laps!"

"Damn!"

Ethan had no choice but to go and run his punishment laps.

Meanwhile, as Andrew stood at attention, he thought back on everything that had happened from this morning until now.

Scarlett seemed a bit different from what he had imagined. It seemed she wasn't some yandere, crazy, terrifying person like the rumors in their high school suggested, but just a relatively aloof woman.

Maybe I misunderstood Teacher Scarlett.

But when Andrew thought of the scene of Scarlett slapping a man at the intersection, his heart still trembled.

At least Scarlett's combat power was definitely not a rumor; she really could slap someone to death.

Better try not to make Teacher Scarlett angry and be careful.
