Part I: The Empty Room (Psychological Thriller)
She woke up. White ceiling. A crack shaped like a question mark.
She didn't know her name.
She didn't know the man sleeping next to her.
She didn't know the red string on her wrist.
But on the nightstand, a stack of envelopes. Her handwriting.
She opened the first one.
Hello, me. This is the last time. You won't remember anything after today. But that's okay. You have everything you need.
Read the letters. Watch the videos. Then go to the kitchen.
The toast is waiting.

Part II: The Stranger's Kindness (Literary Interlude)
She read for three hours. She watched videos of herself speaking languages she didn't know. She saw a man with a scar on his jaw saying "I love you" over and over.
She learned that her name was Mara. That she had a sister named Simone. That she had pushed that sister down stairs. That she had spent decades running.
She learned about a doctor. A vault. A fire.
She learned about toast.
When she finished, she walked to the kitchen. The man – Cass – was already there. He was holding a plate.
"Hi," he said. "I'm Cass. You don't know me, but I know you. And I made you toast."
She looked at the plate. Sourdough. Salted butter. Cut diagonally.
"Thank you," she said. "I'm told I like it this way."
"You do."
She sat down. Took a bite. It was warm. It was perfect.
"Cass," she said.
"Yes?"
"I don't remember you. But I think I love you."
He sat across from her. His eyes were wet. "That's okay. I remember enough for both of us."

Part III: The New Beginning (Action Seed – Resolved))
They ate breakfast together. Then they walked to the coffee shop. Simone was waiting. She hugged Mara tightly.
"You forgot me again," Simone said.
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be. I'll tell you everything. Over and over. Until one of us dies."
Mara laughed. "That's morbid."
"That's family."
Elias showed up with donuts. The same powdered sugar from years ago. Mara ate two.
Later, they went to the park. Cass skipped stones. Elias taught a neighborhood kid how to do it. Simone sat on a bench, reading a book.
Mara watched them all. Strangers who loved her. People she had loved in another life.
She touched the red string on her wrist.
She didn't know why it was there.
But she didn't take it off.
