Slowly...
The feeling of stillness started to fade, and Kyle started to feel his limbs again.
'That's strange. It doesn't feel like coming up from sleeping.'
Kyle felt strangely comfortable, like he was lying in the most comfortable place imaginable.
But strangely...
He didn't feel anything beneath him.
And while Kyle could feel his limbs, he couldn't move them.
This felt even more weird than the visions he was having before.
He could not even open his eyes.
And after some time...
Kyle started to feel his surroundings too.
It felt like the place where he was forming itself, or as if he himself was being transported there, like those VR games of today.
But not quite exactly.
'This does feel weird, but somehow, the feeling itself is not bad.'
...
Kyle didn't know how much time had passed, but he waited.
What else could he have done?
While Kyle waited, he also realised that no matter how much time passed, he didn't feel irritated, angry, or anything.
He was just calm.
As if he were being hypnotised.
And as Kyle was having all these thoughts...
He felt a strong wind on his face.
And to his sudden shock...
He could move his body now.
He slowly opened his eyes.
And what his eyes saw completely shocked him to the core.
'The fuck...'
What came into his field of vision was an enormous set of teeth.
Bigger than him.
And above those teeth were a pair of enormous nostrils, with every breath from them seeming to be the reason for the strong wind hitting his face.
Looking up close, Kyle could finally see the magnificent creature before him.
Its enormous serpentine body stretched far beyond what Kyle could properly comprehend.
Dark silver scales covered its massive body, each one reflecting the light around it with a faint metallic sheen. Intricate golden patterns ran across its scales, forming ancient markings that seemed to naturally belong to its body.
Two long whiskers extended from its face, moving gently with the wind created by its own breathing.
Its horns curved backward from its head, giving the already enormous creature an even more imposing appearance.
But what caught Kyle's attention the most...
Were its eyes.
A pair of enormous golden eyes looked down at him.
Ancient.
Calm.
Yet strangely familiar.
There was no hostility in them.
No anger.
Nothing that should have made Kyle feel safe in front of such a creature.
And yet...
Kyle felt no fear.
What Kyle found strange was not that there was a dragon in front of him.
It was that he could feel no hostility from it.
He couldn't even feel any kind of fear internally.
Seeing this magnificent creature, Kyle felt strangely familiar, like he had been in front of his kin.
And this strange feeling had been quite frequent as of lately.
Kyle had already realised it.
He didn't know how...
But he was in...
'Asteria.'
The dragon in front of him slowly started to back away, as if realizing that Kyle had finally awakened.
The dragon still stared at him, but Kyle found something even more amazing, and that was the giant shadow of a tree.
The tree he was sitting below was so large that, due to its height, he couldn't see the end of it.
Which, if Kyle had realized correctly...
The tree was even bigger than the dragon.
It should be the World Tree.
"Yggdrasil."
The moment those words came out of his mouth, the tree started to glow.
To his astonishment, even though there was this much light flashing, he didn't feel blinded by it.
He could see everything clearly.
The light from the tree continued to grow stronger.
Then—
[ Resonance with the World Tree has increased. ]
Kyle stared at the information in front of him.
"..."
He didn't even know what to say.
Before he could think about it any further...
The light started to gather in one place.
It slowly began to form a figure.
A figure of a girl.
Slowly, the light forming the figure of the girl started to disappear.
And what came into view was the figure of a girl.
She looked young, with delicate features that carried a natural beauty.
Her emerald-green eyes were clear and bright, while her green hair was beautifully braided and rested over her right side, falling in front of her chest.
There was something youthful and innocent about her appearance.
She was beautiful...
Her appearance was that of a young teenager, probably around 13 to 14.
Kyle couldn't help but stare at her.
"..."
For some reason...
He felt like he had seen her before.
Slowly, she opened her eyes.
The moment her eyes opened, she looked around in confusion for a brief moment.
That was until her eyes caught sight of Kyle standing in front of her.
A moment of absolute bliss appeared on her face, and her lips curled into a beautiful smile as she looked at him.
Then, without saying anything, she walked toward him and stood before him, looking at him once again.
The next moment...
She ran into his arms and hugged him tightly.
"Father."
"..."
Kyle couldn't comprehend what was happening.
Why had this strange yet strangely familiar girl appeared before him and hugged him?
And, more importantly...
Why was she calling him **Father**?
He was only twenty-one years old.
(ಥ﹏ಥ)
"Hey, young lady, what are you doing?" Kyle said, surprisingly the girl, which the sentence was meant for completey unheard him.
And the hug seemed to have quite a strong hold on Kyle, but he just couldn't bring himself to push the girl away as she was smiling so happily.
"Sigh."
Kyle put his hand over her head and started to pat her, and the girl started to laugh as if that was the best thing in the world.
"Hehehe."
Seeing her laugh so happily, even Kyle couldn't help but melt, to the point that he kept patting her for a full two minutes.
After a while, the girl was sitting quietly in front of him and looking at him as if she had been robbed of something very precious.
Kyle sighed and took extra measures just to comfort her, as he couldn't just keep patting her.
But in the meantime, Kyle had seen something new.
Which was...
