"Huh?"
Missio blurted out in a confused manner after Dick immediately answered his question. Krishna shifted, nearing Missio slightly. Missio leaned forward and asked in a puzzled manner.
"Are you sure?"
"I have nothing to hide." Dick replied calmly.
Missio blinked and leaned back. Dick lifted his head a little, smirking in Krishna's direction. Krishna remained stoic, meeting Dick's gaze.
The two were definitely not strangers, it seemed.
However, the bereft did not notice the altercation between the two and began pondering something else entirely.
'This is too strange – suspicious even. He wouldn't just give me all the answers I need without a little bit of resistance.'
He glanced at Dick and took back his gaze.
'Doesn't seem like he's lying either...'
Unable to discern the former Assemblyman's true motives, Missio clicked his tongue and inquired about the dealer.
"Can I get a description of that man?"
"Of course," Dick grinned from ear to ear. "Sun Daishen – seventeen years old. Short blonde hair with sky blue eyes. He wears a grey t-shirt, grey trousers and a dark green jacket like camouflage green."
Missio locked eyes with Dick while Krishna pursed his lips.
"That was...oddly specific." He commented.
Dick merely smiled at his statement, a glimmer in his dark eyes. Missio's scarlet eyes glimmered as well, not fully trusting the man's words. Then, after a moment of hesitation, he sighed and left his seat.
"We've asked what we want to know. Thank you for your time, Mr. Dick."
As they stepped out of the room, Dick shouted back.
"No problem!"
'That guy seems way too happy to be in prison.'
All kinds of thoughts swirled in his mind, but he shrugged them off. The duo exited the room and met the Warden on the other side.
"So? Did ya get any answers?" He inquired.
"Yes." Missio responded. "Thanks for letting us interrogate him so abruptly."
The Warden paused and then, chuckled lightly.
"To be honest, I didn't do anything. I felt like the guy was waiting for something since the day he came here and I guess… he was waiting for you."
Krishna's eyes narrowed.
"Did he do anything in his cell?"
"Nope." The Warden shook his head. "Just slept peacefully and talked with the other prisoners bout' normal stuff."
Krishna nodded slowly.
"I see, Thank you for your time. We'll be heading off now."
"It's my pleasure." The Warden bowed slightly.
Missio and Krishna turned away from the man, moving towards the exit of the facility. After a few minutes of navigating, they eventually found themselves outside of the fortified steel walls.
"Man...that was uncomfortable." Missio coughed.
"..." Krishna remained silent, his face stoic.
Missio raised a brow, gazing at his best friend.
"Krishna? You okay?"
Krishna flinched, a slight blush appearing on his face. He itched his cheek and laughed awkwardly.
"O-Oh, right, yeah. That dude was creepy – creepy. I mean, who smiles that much in prison."
Missio stared at him for a while before saying.
"It was more weird that he answered all of our questions...and with such detailed answers at that."
"I get the creeps from him – ugh." Krishna said sticking his tongue out in disgust.
"I understand. You don't have to keep verbalizing it." Missio sneered, drawing his car keys.
"I'm an expressive fellow, dear friend." Krishna moved to the passenger's seat.
As the car opened, the enforcers immediately sat inside and closed their respective doors. Once again, a blue light shot out of the instrument panel, hitting Missio's eyes. The next moment, the interior instantly lit up as the bereft gripped the wheel. Missio then, reversed and spun around, driving onto the main road.
Krishna crossed his arms and stretched his legs. He took a quick glance at his captain before asking in an unassuming manner.
"So… you're gonna report this to the General?"
Missio shrugged.
"I'm not in the position to handle international matters, you know that."
Krishna gazed ahead, at the towers piercing the skies of the city.
"And if things go south?"
Missio's mouth twitched.
"Then, they're probably gonna send us. If what I heard from Henry is correct, the Ashlandian government hasn't been able to capture that Sun Daishen for half a decade. The Prime Minister might see it as incompetence and not even consider telling the Black Ops of the AEOC."
Krishna heaved a heavy breath.
"We're gonna have to get dirty, huh?"
Missio nodded, turning the vehicle.
"I expect so."

After arriving at the Black Ops HQ, Missio and Krishna split ways. The Lieutenant General once again found himself in his office – all alone. There, he called out to his trusty AI assistant.
"Mythos."
Mythos hearing its name, awoke from its sleep.
[Yes, sir.]
"Send a message to the General of the Black Ops."
[Recording your message, sir.]
"Sir, I've interrogated former Assemblyman Dick Quartel on some things. I wasn't able to get out any useful information about his financial fraud from seventeen years ago or what he even did with the money. However… I was able to find out where he got the half a ton of drugs from."
Missio paused and then, continued.
"He says he bought it from a dealer named Sun Daishen who lives near the outskirts of Kharagen… That's all I got out of him."
As Missio closed his mouth, Mythos sent the recorded message to the General of the Black Ops.
Now, the bereft anxiously awaited the decision of his superior for the better… or for the worst.
