Chapter 8 - One-Shotting Vaccine Man

"Daddy! Mommy! Waaah!"

Amidst the ruins, a little girl cried out helplessly, completely unaware of the massive figure approaching from behind.

Bang!

A palm enveloped the little girl, but at this moment, the monster sensed something was wrong.

"Hmm?"

The monster opened his palm and found it empty, the little girl was nowhere to be seen.

'Dragon-Level Monster, Vaccine Man.'

King floated in mid-air, gazing at the monster before him with a solemn expression. He had used his Psychokinesis to send the little girl to a safe place.

'Superpowers are really useful." King was filled with emotion.

If he hadn't activated the Talent Trial Card in the heat of the moment, he probably wouldn't have been able to save her in time.

"A hero? I am Vaccine Man. Earth has suffered from human persecution for too long. I represent the will of Earth and am the apostle of Divine Power. I must exterminate the humans who recklessly destroy Earth's environment."

The more Vaccine Man spoke, the more agitated he became, and his entire body began to expand rapidly, increasing in size dozens of times in an instant.

Kimg, on the other hand, didn't seem to care much and instead muttered something to himself, "So it really is Divine Power."

Buzz... Buzz...

At this moment, a drone arrived in the ruins not far away, taking in the entire situation of the battlefield.

"Confirming disaster level, it is at least a Dragon-Level Monster." Maria had a grave expression on her face.

No wonder the two A-Class Heroes sent by the Hero Association had fallen, the strength of a Dragon-Level Monster was simply too terrifying.

"Immediately call the nearby S-Class Heroes to handle this!" Cold sweat broke out on Jess's forehead.

This was the location of the Hero Association headquarters. If the monster were allowed to wreak havoc here, the Association's reputation would likely plummet.

"Wait a minute, it seems like someone is currently fighting the monster on the scene!"

"Are there other heroes there? Who is it?"

Jess was slightly stunned.

Even A-Class Heroes had been defeated, could it be that an S-Class Hero had rushed over?

"No good, it's too far away. I can only vaguely see a silhouette."

The sudden violent wind swirling around kicked up countless sand and stones, making it impossible to see the situation at the center of the battlefield. The drone didn't dare to get too close, or it would easily be destroyed by the aftermath of the battle.

Thump! Thump! Thump...

However, from within the violent wind, a powerful, rhythmic sound could be heard, as if it were the roar of some kind of engine.

"This sound, could it be…"

"Hehehe, stupid Earthlings, die!"

Boom!

A beam of energy erupted from Vaccine Man's mouth.

King waved one hand, and the fierce wind instantly formed several barriers in front of him, easily blocking the attack.

'It seems that Psychokinesis with a 50% Talent Growth Value is enough to withstand the attacks of an average Dragon-Level Monster.'

King was quite satisfied with the power of the Talent Trial Card. Then, with a thought, an extremely terrifying gale surged up from beneath Vaccine Man's feet.

"Divine Power? It's nothing special."

Hell Storm!

Boom!

The terrifying hurricane kicked up countless sand and stones, instantly destroying everything around it. Vaccine Man, located at the core, didn't even have time to scream before he was turned into dust.

[Ding! Congratulations to the host for killing a Dragon-Level Monster. Obtained 3,000 Talent Points.]

"What the f*ck! Why only 3,000? You damn system, did you skim off the top?" King immediately cursed.

In his anger, he took off his mask and threw it onto the ground.

A typical Dragon-Level Monster awards 10,000 talent points, this wasn't even one-third of that.

[Vaccine Man barely reached Dragon-Level.]

After receiving the system's reply, King cursed some more. However, he also knew that after transforming, Vaccine Man had only barely reached the lower tier of Dragon-Level, otherwise he wouldn't have been killed instantly by him.

'Damn system!'

Ring...

Just as King was still feeling indignant, his phone rang.

"Hmm? Hero Association?" King frowned.

He didn't know why the Association was calling him now, especially since he was preparing to participate in the Association's assessment as Dark Mask in a while.

"Hello?"

"Hello, King-san, did you resolve the monster in A-City?"

"How did you…"

King was a bit surprised. He turned around and looked, a drone in the distance made him understand everything.

"It really is King-san! That's great!"

At the Hero Association headquarters, in the footage transmitted by the drone, three scars appeared before everyone's eyes, and everyone cheered.

"Thank you. Without you, the damage this time would have been incalculable."

"As expected of the strongest man on Earth, to have resolved a Dragon-Level Monster so easily."

"Exactly, if it weren't for King-san's low activity, how could he be an S-Class Rank 7 Hero? He should be in the top three at least."

As everyone discussed excitedly, a smile appeared on Jess's face.

Maria asked, which left King feeling a bit at a loss, "Thank you for resolving the monster, but King-san, why did you suddenly come to A-City? Is there something you need to come to the Association for?"

King answered, "Ah! I was just passing by while tracking a monster, the other party is very likely a member of the Monster Association."

"Wait, did you just say Monster Association?"

Jess's pupils constricted slightly, and he grabbed the microphone.

"Yes, I am still investigating the specific situation. I will notify you when I have results, but the Association had better make preparations in advance."

Beep, beep, beep...

As the phone was hung up, the Hero Association fell into silence.

"Supervisor Jess, what did King-san mean by his last words just now?"

Jess shook his head, but he could feel that King was not joking. "I don't understand either, but he wouldn't speak without reason. I will report this matter to Sitch-san and the Association's upper management and let them judge."

"King-san has once again killed a Dragon-Level Monster, should we adjust his ranking upwards?"

"I think we can apply to the higher-ups. S-Class Rank 7 really doesn't fit his status."

"What rank do you think is appropriate? I think at least the top three."

"Who did you say should enter the top three?"

"Of course it's King… Tatsumaki? When did you arrive?"

A petite green figure floated in the air, her eyes full of disdain and anger. "I heard a Dragon-level monster appeared, so I rushed over."

"Oh, but the monster has already been resolved…"

Jess gulped.

"Resolved?" Tatsumaki frowned.

She was puzzled as to why someone always beat her to it.

"Yes, King-san resolved the monster in one blow." A staff member spoke before thinking.

Jess immediately felt that something bad was about to happen.

"It's King again? Why does he like to show off so much?"

Tatsumaki was quite displeased, but she immediately realized something.

"Wait, you said King resolved the monster? That means he is in A-City right now."

"Wait a moment, Tatsumaki-san, King-san was just passing by, and he left after resolving the monster."

"Hmph! Just wait and see, I will let you all know who the true strongest on Earth is."

Tatsumaki ignored Jess's dissuasion and flew out of the Association headquarters, heading towards the city.

"Supervisor Jess, should we notify King-san?"

"No need, that would make him misunderstand. I hope King-san has already left."
