Chapter 52 - Handing Over The Cursed Object

Shin casually stuffed the cursed object into his pants pocket, as he did not want to reveal the Shulker Box in front of Sukuna. After all, seven of Sukuna's fingers were still inside it.

After the group returned to Jujutsu High, they completed a joint mission report and submitted it.

Less than half a day after submission, the Jujutsu Higher-Ups issued an order for Shin to hand over the cursed object.

Thinking about how unreliable the Jujutsu Higher-Ups were, Shin was actually unwilling to hand over the cursed object. In his mind, the danger level of this denture-like cursed object was even higher than that of Sukuna.

Its Cursed Technique, which could devour and assimilate everything, was slightly stronger than Geto Suguru's Maximum Technique.

Maximum: Uzumaki could only extract the Cursed Technique of a Cursed Spirit, and the extracted technique would not see any further improvement. However, that Cursed Spirit could even unleash power surpassing the original owner after assimilating the target's Cursed Technique.

Its growth potential was simply too high. If that Cursed Spirit were allowed to take a bite out of Mahoraga and given time to develop, probably no one in the world would be able to exorcise it.

He was afraid that someone among the Higher-Ups was colluding with Kenjaku. If this cursed object fell into Kenjaku's hands, it would be quite troublesome.

Shin casually threw his phone aside and touched the Command Block placed in the room.

"Don't let me down."

He took out three cursed objects of various appearances from the Shulker Box and used a command on them.

/Combine these three cursed objects, change their form and aura, but destroy all of their Cursed Techniques

After consuming over thirty levels of experience points, the three cursed objects finally formed into the shape of dentures, while also emitting an aura that surpassed a typical Special Grade Cursed Object.

'This is finished. Even if this thing is stolen by Kenjaku and successfully incarnated, it won't have any effect.'

However, Shin estimated that it would be impossible for it to successfully incarnate. After all, although it looked perfectly fine on the surface, it had actually incorporated three different types of Cursed Energy inside. Aside from Yuji, who had a special constitution, it was likely impossible for anyone else to survive after eating it.

Soon, the Higher-Ups dispatched an Assistant Supervisor to Jujutsu High to collect the cursed object. Shin expressionlessly shoved the cursed object into his hand and then turned to leave.

Yuji, Megumi, and Junpei, who were beside him, thought he was angry because of the Higher-Ups' lack of trust in him, but in reality, Shin was afraid he wouldn't be able to stop himself from laughing, which would give the game away.

At night, the Assistant Supervisor drove along the mountain road to deliver the cursed object to the location designated by the Higher-Ups.

The cursed object had been sealed and was placed casually on the passenger seat. The Assistant Supervisor would occasionally glance at it to confirm its safety, but suddenly, a large truck roared past with its high beams on, dazzling his eyes.

When he opened his eyes again, he caught a glimpse out of the corner of his eye of a humanoid Cursed Spirit covered in stitches sitting in the passenger seat, holding the box sealing the cursed object.

Terrified, he slammed on the brakes to stop the car. Before he could even bring the car to a full stop, Mahito's palm had already gently patted his back.

"Oh my. You look very nervous. Don't be afraid because no matter how afraid you are, it's useless."

Bang!

The Assistant Supervisor's body suddenly swelled and then burst into a pile of blood mist, coating the entire interior of the car.

Mahito then took the box and walked away openly.

It wasn't until a car behind was blocked by this vehicle and unable to move that someone discovered the tragedy. Screams and police sirens echoed throughout the mountain road.

The eerie scene of the car containing only bloodstains but no corpse left the police baffled, and eventually, under pressure from the Jujutsu World, the case was closed hastily.

After returning to Dagon's Domain, Mahito threw the cursed object in his hand to Kenjaku.

"Can the Cursed Spirit born from this cursed object really become our asset? You value it so much."

Kenjaku stroked the cursed object in his hand and grinned. "That Cursed Spirit will only be stronger than you imagine, Mahito."

He shoved the cursed object into the mouth of a tied-up Curse User, but after a violent distortion, the Curse User's body exploded with a bang.

Mahito asked in confusion, "Did it fail? But shouldn't a failed incarnation result in the body distorting and dissolving? What's going on with this explosion?"

Kenjaku picked up the cursed object that had fallen to the ground, wiped the blood off it, and said indifferently, "Maybe it's a rather special cursed object. Just like how Sukuna's fingers are selective about their vessel, I guess this one is the same. It seems we'll need to capture more Curse Users to try it out."

(Shin: I was wondering why I couldn't find any Curse Users for experiments, it turns out it's because you old geezer beat me to it and used up all my test subjects.)
