The next morning.
"Hm…" Albert wakes up with Mélusine still in his arms. Both he and she were fully clothed. He looked at his clock to find he was almost going to be late. "God dammit." Normally his body would wake up at the time he wanted but it seemed sleeping with Mélusine and the comfort she brought dulled him a bit. "Mel, it's time to wake up."
Mélusine only snuggled in more.
"Hmm.. a few more hours."
"Hmmm. This sucks." Mélusine was actually rather soft to hold and even he felt not doing anything for the day. But duty calls. "Get up." he picks her up.
"Come on~" She said as she returned to her spiritual body.
"I have school Mel. I'll see you in a bit."
"Hm… more sleep…" She kept sleeping even in her spiritual body.
Albert hurried and got dressed and left for school.
When he arrived at class it was at the nick of time.
"That is a first." Aizawa said.
"Sorry sir, I forgot to set my alarm." Albert took his seat. "I'll be sure to set it after school."
"Hm." Aizawa nodded. "Well to begin our primary goal is for you all to get your Provisional Hero Licenses. This license will be needed to let you use your quirks in public, I do not need to remind you that a Hero Licenses are integral and inextricably tie to saving lives so you all must properly qualify for such a heavy responsibility as hero's should."
"S-so how hard is the Provisional Hero License?" asked the purple one.
"Thanks for asking the rhetorical question, Mineta, it is very, VERY hard. About 50% pass so yeah it's hard as it should be if you wanna go and be a hero. SO at that starting today you all will need to come up with at least two—"
The door to the class slams open and three teachers enter. Midnight, Ectoplasm, and Cementoss.
"ULTIMATE MOVES!!!" Midnight shouted taking the attention. "Yes you heard me right!"
"UWOOOOO!!!" The class erupted into celebration.
"Oh, Albert." Ectoplasm spoke up and the room went quiet. "The principal wished to see you. He also said you are excused from this exercise."
"What!?" Shouted Bakugo. "Why the hell is he excused!"
"In full honesty." Midnight spoke up. "He doesn't need to learn a ultimate move, I am sure those of you who have faced him during some training session can see that him learning a ultimate move would be wasted time and effort that we as teachers could be giving to the rest of you."
"Geh!" Bakugo gritted his teeth.
"I know this hurts to hear Bakugo." Albert walked to the door. "But I am sure you will prove them wrong." He gave a smirk and left the class.
"That bastard!!!" Bakugo howled. "Come on let's get this training started!!"
'He sure knows how to push his buttons.' Aizawa thought as he looked around the room to see his whole class have a fire in their eyes, they also wish to be on Albert's level. 'Well he certainly is a good motivator.'
In Nezu's office Albert stood before the principal.
"So have you made your choice?" Nezu asked.
Albert looked around to see no All Might.
"The number 1 hero isn't here?"
"He went to help train Class 1-A."
"Ah, training his successor huh? Must be a bit annoying to have Midoriya be the one huh?"
"I have faith in Toshi's judgment." Nezu nodded. "What of you?"
"I think he is a good kid, a bit too much of an All Might fan to see he can't replicate All Might's moves. Like does he know he could use his legs?"
"Hmmm…" Nezu tilted his head a bit before moving on. "So your choice. Do you accept my deal?"
"Yeah." Albert nodded. "I accept it. But know that my way out is through the Grail War. I will kill anyone who stands in my way."
"I… I understand." He nods begrudgingly. "Albert, side note, do you know how Quirks came to be? By chance?"
Albert knew from Kischur that the last Grail War resulted in the birth of Quirks. Aside from that he has nothing.
"Yeah, no need to tell me."
"Then you should know the dangers of using the Grail War right?"
"I know, so I plan on using the grail to never be known."
"!" Nezu flinched at his wish. "T-that is…" Nezu's face grew sullen. "What of your school days? The friends you made?"
"I can get over it." His eyes never left Nezu's, they did not waver at the slightest. "It is not the first time I lost friends while out on a mission."
"I… very well." he nods while turning his chair, he couldn't keep looking into Albert's unflinching gaze that hurts his heart. "Then do you have any leads to the other masters and servants?"
"One,"
Nezu felt his heart drop. He hopes and wishes Albert will not say what All Might had told him.
"And who is it?"
"They are part of the Shie Hassaikai, they have Archer."
Nezu felt relived.
"Hm. Well I shall help you find them." He turned around with a smile. "I will ask around from my hero buddies and inform you."
"Cool." Albert nodded. "Then I should… hm. Should I even go and learn a ultimate move?"
"Would a ultimate move even add anything to your overwhelming strength? I have seen you fight Toshi."
"Yeah… you mind if I just do my own thing?"
"Hm. I see no reason why. What do you plan on doing?"
"Working on my gear and probably sleeping."
"… Okay. Fine by me."
Albert turned and left, Nezu let out a sigh of relief.
"Haaaaah… the Shie Hassaikai huh? I guess—!" Nezu stopped himself. "… Lancer are you here? If you are please leave?"
He waits a few second but nothing.
"Now I can't even talk to myself in peace."
Mélusine was still asleep at home.
After leaving, Albert went back to class and got his web shooters, The Achene's and went to the support department.
"Hello." Said the hero in charge of the support department, his name is Power Loader. "Hm? Oh, it's you Albert Hiroyuki."
"You know me? I guess I am rather popular huh?" He responded.
"Somewhat." He stops what he was doing and looks at Albert. "Truth be told it was this one there," He points at a pink-haired girl. "Oy! Hatsume! Albert is—"
"Albert!" She stopped what she was doing as her head shot towards Albert. "Albert!" She then came up to him with a big smile on her face. "Did you give a name to your baby!"
Albert didn't quite know how to handle Hatsume's upfront-ness.
"Yeah." He smiled and nodded. "I gave them the name, The Arachne's."
"After the Greek myth right?" Power Loader said.
"That is right." Albert put them on and demonstrated.
Fwhip!
Ting!
A shot of web struck a metal plate.
"Ooh!" Both Hatsume and Power Loader were impressed.
"Can I see!" Hatsume responded immediately wanting to see the invention with her own eyes up close.
"Sure, I was planning on improving them with the spare time I got." He hands Hatsume one of his web shooters.
"Ooh!!!" She held it preciously and began to look and study it.
"Spare time? You skipping out on your Ultimate Move class?" Power Loader said.
"I don't need it. Principal Nezu gave me the green light to skip it."
"Hm well…" Power Loader remembered Albert during the Sports Festival. "Yeah I can see it. You mind if I help as well? I also wanted to see this invention you made."
"Of course. The more brains the better."
"H-hello?"
"Hm?"
The three of them turned to the door to see Midoriya along with Uraraka and Tenya.
"Ah, I was wondering when more Eraser Head's kids will show up." Power Loader said. "You three here for costume modifications? Come in."
The three of them enter and their eyes land on Albert.
"Ah Albert!" Midoriya smiled and came up to him. "Are you also here to make mods to your cos—Ah." He noticed he wasn't wearing his costume but his normal school attire.
"Sorry but no." Albert shook his head. "I am actually excused from learning a Ultimate Move."
"Are you here to fix or do some work on your gear?" Tenya asked. "Those guns of yours seem pretty strong already to me."
"Hehe!" Power Loader chuckled. "Thank you, I worked pretty hard on them."
"So why are you here?" Uraraka asked.
"To work on my other gear." He held out his web shooter. "These are the tools I used to pass my practical exam."
"!!" Everyone but Hatsume were shocked, she was more focused on the web shooter than anything else.
"Ah, so it was true that you beat All Might." Power Loader said intrigued. "And it was the Achene's that help you do it huh?"
"And a little bit of ingenuity." He lightheartedly smiled. "Anyways ignore me, I will—"
Fwhip!!!
Everyone turned to see Hatsume tied up in web.
"Oh! So that's how it works!" She said as she was studying the web shooter.
Midoriya's mind raced to figure out their purpose and he found the answer.
"I see! You made web like a spiders for their tensile strength to capture and possibly navigate through the area right? I mean you wouldn't just make something for just one purpose."
Albert smiled, Midoriya was certainly clever.
"Right on the money. These girls can swing me building to building. They do, however, use muscles I never thought I had. But once you get a good swing going it's pretty smooth sailing."
"I see." Midoriya nods. "What do you do if you were gonna crash into something?"
"Stop myself with my feet? What else?"
"!" Midoriya came up with a new way to use his Quirk. "Feet!"
"Yeah I just said that."
"N-no I can use my feet!"
Albert knew what he meant but he wanted to keep messing with him.
"Of course you can use your feet how do you think you lived your life till now?"
"Do you need some water Deku?" Uraraka said a bit concerned.
"No I mean I can use my feet instead of my arms!"
"To walk? I mean it's a good way to build some core muscles and balance, but I wouldn't want to do it every day." Albert said holding back a chuckle.
This went on far longer than it should have.
